What does this role entail?

We are a fast-growing startup, which means you can learn the ins and outs of running a company. You’ll help us with a little bit of everything: operations, marketing, admin, etc. You will work closely with our Founder/CEO, Allison Shapira, and you’ll get to shadow our team of expert trainer and coaches. You’ll also have daily opportunities to improve your own communication skills. This is a great internship for someone interested in marketing, sales, event management, project management, operations, or communication.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Attend company functions and networking events
  • Research and manage special projects
  • Assist in streamlining everyday tasks as needed, using technology to improve efficiency
  • Research the latest advancements in public speaking and communication technology to keep us at the forefront of the industry
  • Ship materials to clients and partners
  • Help promote our work and our company on social media
  • Other relevant skills and projects you’d like to work on (we’re open to your ideas)

About you:

  • High degree of organizational skill and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to learn and grow professionally
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks and projects with a sense of urgency, accuracy, and accountability
  • Sense of respect and compatibility with the company’s core values
  • Ability to work well with others

Workload: 10 hours / week with the potential for a longer engagement.

Desired Requirements:

  • Willingness to work virtually and from our office in Washington, DC
  • Occasional travel within DC for events

Compensation: We cannot offer monetary compensation, but we can offer public speaking training, books, materials, and exposure to cool events. We will cover any direct costs you incur (travel, etc.).

For students: If your university offers college credit, we're happy to work with you on reaching your internship project goals.

If you’d like to be part of a growing, exciting, and supportive team that believes in making everyone’s lives better, including our own, reach out to us. We look forward to meeting you!
